Job Description

Overview American Paint Recyclers is seeking a dependable, hands-on, and detail-oriented Paint Inspection & Sorting Technician to join our production team. This position plays a critical role in our paint recycling process by inspecting, sorting, and evaluating incoming paint containers to ensure they meet company acceptance standards for recycling. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining quality, follows safety procedures, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position serves as the first quality control checkpoint in our recycling process, helping ensure that only acceptable materials enter production and contribute directly to the quality of our finished recycled paint products ________________________________________ Responsibilities Inspect incoming paint containers to determine whether materials meet company acceptance standards. Perform visual inspections for contamination, leaks, damage, mold, or other non-acceptable materials. Identify and separate non-acceptable products, including oil-based paints, hazardous materials, and contaminated containers. Sort paint containers by type, condition, and company processing guidelines. Remove and properly dispose of rejected materials according to company procedures. Accurately identify water-based latex paint and other acceptable products for recycling. Maintain quality standards to ensure only approved materials enter the recycling process. Keep the inspection and sorting area clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations. Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production goals. Perform other duties as assigned. ________________________________________ Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong work ethic and willingness to work hands-on. Ability to follow instructions and company procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. ________________________________________ Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
