Job Description

Quality Inspector - Polished Aluminum Wheels Full-Time | Monday-Friday, First Shift | Wadsworth, Ohio Applied Materials Finishing is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform the final inspection of polished aluminum wheels and help ensure each finished product meets customer quality standards before shipment. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work and enjoys playing an important role in the final stage of the manufacturing process. What You'll Do Inspect polished truck and automotive wheels Perform final visual inspections to confirm finished products meet customer specifications Perform gloss or color checks using the appropriate gauge Complete minor wipe-off or touch-up work when needed Record inspection results on required forms Read and follow work instructions and customer specifications Support quality procedures, gauge calibration, and document control Contribute to quality and process-improvement efforts Work closely with the Quality Manager and other team members What Makes Someone Successful Here Strong attention to detail Dependability and a consistent work ethic Pride in producing quality work Ability to maintain focus and consistent quality throughout the shift A collaborative approach and clear communication Willingness to learn and follow established procedures Confidence in determining whether a finished product meets quality requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Visual inspection experience, preferably involving polished or machined products Ability to identify when a finished product does not meet established specifications Ability to read and follow work instructions and customer requirements Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly Ability to follow established safety and quality procedures Familiarity with quality systems such as
ISO 9001
is helpful but not required. Schedule and Work Environment Full-time, first-shift position Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Ability to work on your feet throughout the shift Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds Frequent hand and arm movements associated with handling and inspecting wheels Manufacturing environment with production noise and varying temperatures Pay and Benefits $18-$20 per hour Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Life and short-term disability insurance Retirement plan Growth Opportunity Cross-training opportunities are available for employees interested in learning additional responsibilities and developing new skills.
