Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector with strong experience in jet engine inspections, including borescope inspections. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role ensures that all engine components and assemblies meet regulatory, customer, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engine inspections and a solid understanding of aviation quality requirements. This role is based onsite in Wilmington, OH •

Responsibilities :
Perform detailed inspections of jet engine components and assemblies in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards Conduct borescope inspections on various engine types to assess internal condition and identify defects, wear, or damage Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure acceptable quality Interpret and evaluate inspection findings, documenting results accurately and clearly Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and other applicable aviation regulations Review maintenance records, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives as part of the inspection process Identify non-conforming parts and initiate corrective actions as needed Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and calibration records Support audits and quality assurance initiatives Remain current with all applicable regulations and with the repair station policies and procedures (RSQCM) Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or A&P certification preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of aviation inspection experience, with a focus on jet engines Must be A&P Certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 Proven experience performing borescope inspections on commercial or military aircraft engines Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices Familiarity with engine platforms (e.g., CFM56, V2500, Pratt & Whitney, GE engines) is a plus Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Preferred Skills :
