JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Technician is responsible for inspection and testing of product and to ensure product quality. The Quality Technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment. This position requires adherence to process specification and documentation to ensure product conformity, process compliance and product traceability are maintained. The Quality Technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming material is properly identified, contained and dispositioned.
QUALITY TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor production processing through quality and process audits Conduct necessary inspection using proper equipment and techniques Maintain calibration system Assist in Root Cause Corrective Action investigation Conduct statistical analysis and report findings Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results including FAI Ensure production inspectors are following proper procedure Assist with training of inspection personnel Perform periodic QMS audits Provide management with detailed quality reports as required
QUALITY TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS
Strong work ethic Advanced blueprint reading skills and good knowledge of GD&T Basic shop math skills Ability to work unsupervised Familiarity with CMM/ Vision/ precision measuring tools Attention to detail
QUALITY TECHNICIAN PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OCCASIONALLY
sit, push/pull up to 25 lbs., reach above shoulder with both hands, lift/carry 10-25 lbs.
FREQUENTLY
work in front of computer screens, stand, walk, reach outward with both hands, count and calculate.
CONSTANTLY
handle parts, visually inspect and measure through magnifying glass. Use CMM, Vision system, calipers, pin gauges and microscope.
