Our client, American Tinning and Galvanizing, a third generation metal finishing company located in Erie, PA is hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join their manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will support quality assurance processes, conduct inspections, and assist in maintaining the integrity of our production systems. Working with many industries including aerospace, they focus on Anodizing, Electroplating as well as Hot Dip Galvanzing many different types of metals.
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour Shift - 1st Shift (with some flexibility on actual hours) Job Responsibilities This position will help oversee daily quality control operations to ensure products meet company standards Must be able to read and understand QC documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) Able to read basic blueprints Read and understand material and processing specifications Must be very familiar with
NADCAP/ISO
quality systems as well as Aerospace Finishing Specifications as they relate to metal finishing and aluminum treatments Will assist with internal and external audits, preparing, and presenting quality reports to senior management Maintaining up to date inspection records and test results will also be required. Qualifications and Skills Must have exceptional attention to detail skills Must have analytical skills needed to assess quality data and identify trends. Strong communication skills for reporting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Will need the ability to work as a team as well as independently. Basic math skills for data analysis and measurement calculations. The employee should be familiar with Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
