Erie, PA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Basic math High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Manufacturing Full Job Description Job Summary Polymer Molding, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Control Final Inspector for our 3rd shift. This position is responsible for inspecting molded plastic components to ensure they meet customer specifications, dimensional tolerances, and established quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous quality assurance or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable using precision measuring equipment and reading blueprints. Responsibilities Inspect molded plastic parts for visual defects and dimensional accuracy. Perform first-shot, periodic/in-process, and last-shot inspections. Inspect complete molding shots following startups, maintenance, or process changes. Verify correct part identification, material, and color. Identify defects such as flash, short fills, and other nonconformances. Perform dimensional and functional inspections using blueprints and applicable inspection standards. Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks . Perform cavity counts, cycle checks, and other required quality inspections. Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records. Identify and properly disposition nonconforming material. Notify supervisors of quality concerns and production nonconformances. Assist with customer and internal quality issues and corrective actions. Support prototype and first-run inspections as directed by the Quality Supervisor. Maintain a clean work area and work cooperatively with production and management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of quality assurance or quality inspection experience preferred. Manufacturing experience, preferably in injection molding or plastics manufacturing . Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints . Basic understanding of injection molding processes and procedures. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to accurately document inspection results and communicate quality concerns. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of ISO and automotive quality standards is a plus. Must be dependable and able to work independently on 3rd shift.
