The NDT Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and tracking all nondestructive testing (NDT) and quality control inspection activities to ensure timely execution of manufacturing and customer requirements. This position serves as the primary liaison between Quality, Production, Scheduling, Engineering, Sales, and NDT personnel to ensure inspection activities are properly planned, documented, prioritized, and completed. The NDT Coordinator maintains inspection status visibility, prepares and controls inspection documentation, supports customer and government witness activities, and assists with continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Coordinate daily NDT/ QC inspection activities throughout manufacturing. 2. Prepare, issue, and maintain inspection packets, routers, quality plans, and supporting documentation. 3. Maintain visual and electronic tracking systems for inspection status and workflow. 4. Interface with Production, Scheduling, Engineering, Sales, and Quality personnel to establish inspection priorities. 5. Schedule and coordinate NDT examinations, dimensional inspections, and quality verification activities. 6. Track witness and hold points required by customers, regulatory agencies, and government representatives. 7. Coordinate customer and government source inspection activities, including DCMA witness notifications. 8. Review documentation packages for completeness and accuracy prior to release. 9. Generate reports and status updates related to inspection progress and quality activities. 10. Assist in the processing, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming conditions. 11. Maintain records in accordance with Quality Management System requirements. 12. Support internal audits, external audits, and customer assessments as required. 13. Assist in development and implementation of process improvements within the Quality Department. 14. Coordinate communication between NDT personnel, inspectors, supervisors, and management. 15. Provide administrative support to the Director of Quality and NDT Examiners. 16. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements. 17. Maintain confidentiality of controlled technical and customer information. 18. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Associate degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience may be substituted.

Experience:

• 3+ years of manufacturing, quality, inspection, or production coordination experience preferred.
• Experience in forging, machining, metalworking, NDT, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, production tracking, or quality documentation systems preferred.

Skills/Competencies:

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred (Syteline if you want to call it out).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with both hourly and salaried personnel.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE

This position works closely with: Director of Quality NDT Examiners QC Inspectors Production Supervisors Manufacturing Personnel Engineering Scheduling Sales Customer Representatives Government Representatives (DCMA)

Supervisory Responsibility:

No direct supervisory responsibility. May provide work direction and priority guidance to inspection personnel.

Pay:

$80,000.00
