JOB TITLE
Quality Assurance Tech The following statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of this position. Work Experience /
Qualities :
Proficient use of vocabulary, knowledge of
USDA / FSIS
regulations specific to plant programs, documentation skills, skills to apply knowledge and training in an effective manner under production environment
Responsibility:
Monitor, verify and document plant HACCP, SSOP and SOP program requirements, take verification and validation laboratory sample tests as requested, communicate with production management on day to day verification deficiencies as they arise during monitoring of production areas.
Specifically:
Perform pre-op as assigned. Collect verification and validation laboratory samples as requested Perform program monitoring as assigned and trained Document program monitoring and verification deficiencies to program requirements Communicate deficiencies observed with production designee. Perform all other tasks as assigned Work daily to improve sanitary practices within production facility.
Qualifications:
Participate in all HACCP, SOP and SSOP training Participate in all Safety training for general plant and task specific for job position. Equipment operation (knowledge of all laboratory and production equipment) Knowledge on how to clean and sanitize knives, equipment and work area as necessary to maintain a sanitary condition while meeting all requirements of HACCP, SSOP, SOP and company policy. Acceptable attendance
