Non-Exempt Summary The Quality Technician is responsible for receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, assemblies, and finished products. This position ensures that products meet applicable quality standards, blueprints, and work order specifications. Responsibilities Inspect materials and assemblies received from outside suppliers. Inspect in-process and finished products. Inspect welded joints and assemblies for compliance with applicable welding standards, blueprints, and work order specifications. Document inspection results accurately. Partner with the Quality Department and other departments to communicate and resolve nonconformances and other quality-related issues. Investigate and help resolve quality problems. Maintain positive, courteous, and respectful interactions with customers, vendors, field sales representatives, and coworkers. Requirements High school diploma or acceptable equivalent. Vocational education in electromechanical technology or a similar field preferred. High mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to interpret technical drawings. Ability to operate measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. CMM operating experience preferred. One to three years of quality control or similar experience preferred. One to three years of welding inspection experience preferred. Knowledge of
AWS D14.0
preferred. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. Computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint. Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Information Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mix of sitting, standing, and walking throughout an eight-hour shift. Occasional lifting of up to 65 pounds. Good eyesight, either natural or corrected.
