Quality Inspection Team Lead — Dimensional Metrology (PC-DMIS/MCOSMOS)

Job Description

Ready to lead precision? Let's talk. Do you love turning complex blueprints into clear inspection strategies? Can you coach a team while writing rock-solid CMM programs? If so, AM&M in New Kensington, PA wants to meet you. What will you tackle first? Guide and mentor inspectors—set priorities, share best practices, and ensure consistent execution of quality procedures. Program and run manual/CNC CMMs to verify tight-tolerance parts for industries like Defense, Nuclear, Pump/Hydraulic, and Robotics. Transform engineered drawings and specs into actionable inspection plans. Use PC-DMIS daily; bring your MCOSMOS experience (preferred) to accelerate throughput. Own first-article (AS9102), in-process checks, and final audits—no detail overlooked. Flag nonconformances, document thoroughly, and collaborate with production on corrective actions. Keep meticulous records and reports aligned to ISO 9001 and AS9100. Model safety, 5S, and continuous improvement across the quality area. What you'll bring 3-5+ years in manufacturing inspection with hands-on manual and CNC CMM expertise. Leadership chops—team supervision, mentoring, and training experience. Exceptional organization and attention to detail for high-precision work. Blueprint reading mastery and strong metrology software skills (PC-DMIS; MCOSMOS preferred). High school diploma/equivalent; ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or similar is a plus. Clear communicator—written and verbal—across teams. Uncompromising on safety and quality in a fast-moving shop.
