Job Title:
Quality Control Technician Job Description Join a well-established component parts manufacturer as a Quality Control Technician. This full-time position in our Quality Department seeks an individual with extensive experience in quality control and a strong understanding of various inspection equipment and methods. Responsibilities Set up and use precision hand gaging and other standard inspection equipment including optical comparators, toolmakers microscopes, and Rockwell Testers. Operate Quality Scanners and CMM Machines. Learn and utilize Keyence machines for quality control. Conduct First Article, first piece, and in-process inspections. Apply G, D&T concepts and implement them effectively. Read and interpret blueprints with precision. Maintain detailed documentation and complete necessary paperwork. Perform in-process checks, final checks, and assemble sampling plans. Identify part traceability and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards. Become certified as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR). Essential Skills 5+ years of quality control experience, preferably in an aerospace, machine shop, or prototype environment. Proficient in operating CMM machines, Scanners, and Keyence Quality machines. Strong skills in layout inspection and expansive knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading. Experience with tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gages. Basic computer skills, especially in the Office suite, to assist with reporting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Advanced knowledge of Keyence quality machines is a plus. Attention to detail and strong articulation skills. Why Work Here? The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 am to 3:30/4:30 pm, with Saturday shifts from 6 am to 11 am. Overtime is available after 8 hours per day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
