Hybrid, Role Overview We are seeking an experienced IE Tester with 2 to 4 years of experience supporting healthcare and/or public sector programs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Medicaid eligibility concepts, including MAGI, Non-MAGI, long-term care, and Medicare Savings Programs such as QMB and QI. The candidate will be responsible for translating Medicaid policies and eligibility rules into functional test plans, scenarios, and test cases. This role will also support incident management, defect triage, root cause analysis, production issue investigation, release validation, regression testing, and post-release stabilization. Required Skills- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Tester supporting healthcare and/or public sector programs
- Strong understanding of Medicaid eligibility concepts, including MAGI and Non-MAGI populations and long-term care programs
- Strong understanding of Medicare Savings Program (MSP) eligibility concepts, including QMB and QI programs
- Experience evaluating requirements and solution designs for eligibility rules and policy driven systems
- Ability to interpret Medicaid policy and translate program rules into functional test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
- Experience supporting incident management, defect triage, root cause analysis, testing support, and release validation
- Ability to assess production issues, policy changes, and enhancement requests for downstream functional and operational impact
- Experience evaluating BRDs, FDDs, eligibility rule documentation, and process flows
- Experience with test automation processes and tools
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate with cross functional teams including notices, tasks, data conversion, interfaces, development, and functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office Preferred Skills
- Prior experience supporting Medicaid eligibility on a state eligibility platform
- Familiarity with New York Medicaid and MSP programs, including LTC, waiver programs, or institutional eligibility
- Experience supporting MECM or comparable eligibility systems in a production support environment
- Experience with operational readiness, regression support, and post-release stabilization
- SQL or basic data analysis skills to support issue investigation, reconciliation, and production defect analysis
- Experience supporting requirements validation, functional design, or defect triage Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on Medicaid policies and eligibility rules
- Test eligibility functionality across MAGI, Non-MAGI, MSP, long-term care, waiver, and institutional eligibility programs
- Evaluate business requirements, functional design documents, eligibility rule documentation, and process flows
- Validate requirements and solution designs against applicable eligibility policies
- Support incident management and defect triage activities
- Investigate production issues and support root cause analysis
- Assess the downstream functional and operational impact of production issues, policy changes, and enhancement requests
- Perform regression testing and release validation
- Support operational readiness and post-release stabilization activities
- Coordinate with notices, tasks, data conversion, interfaces, development, and functional teams
- Support test automation processes and tools
- Use SQL and basic data analysis techniques to support issue investigation, reconciliation, and production defect analysis
- Document test results, defects, issues, and findings clearly
- Participate in defect resolution and retesting activities
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration across project teams Education Requirement
- Relevant education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Healthcare, or a related technical field is preferred.
