Mars Plastics is seeking a dependable, hands-on Quality Control / Production Quality Inspector to join our injection molding operation. This is a production-floor position focused on inspecting molded parts, maintaining consistent processes, and working with Production and Processors to ensure jobs are set up and run correctly.RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect molded parts for defects including flash, short shots, burns, discoloration, warping, sink marks, and other quality issues. Perform basic measurements and compare parts to samples and specifications. Verify correct materials, colors, components, and packaging. Identify and separate defective product and communicate issues to Production and Processors. Work with Processors to ensure setups, processes, paperwork, and procedures are documented and repeatable the next time a job is run. Help establish standard practices and carry successful processes forward to future production runs. Work with Production to maintain quality while meeting production schedules. Complete basic quality and production paperwork accurately.QUALIFICATIONS
Manufacturing or quality experience preferred; injection molding experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and basic measurement skills. Reliable, organized, and comfortable working on a manufacturing floor. Able to communicate effectively with Production, Processors, and Supervisors.SCHEDULE & PAY
1st Shift Preferred Mars Plastics operates 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Overtime is available based on production needs. Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications. Benefits will be discussed during the interview. We are looking for someone who takes pride in catching problems before they reach the customer and helping ensure that successful production processes are repeatable every time a job is run.
