Reports to: Quality Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and performance before they are shipped to customers or further processed. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished products through various stages of production, identifying defects or deviations from specifications, and documenting findings. The Quality Inspector works closely with production teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with quality guidelines.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications. Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Train the team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum high school diploma or GED. Certification in quality control is preferred.
