Located in Lancaster, SC, LCI-Lineberger Construction Inc. provides a wide range of services from building highways to commercial site preparation, erosion control, reclamation, grading and paving and utility installation for public and private clients alike. The company also operates a trucking division with a fleet of dump trucks providing services to LCI jobs as well as to other customers. PTO and Paid Holidays Employee Training Summary:
Quality Control Technician will ensure the quality of work performed on assigned projects meets the contract specifications and/or typical industry standards and ensure documentation of the quality control. QC Technician will also track material quantities and document them accurately. Works in a manner to achieve the company goal;
One Team, One Mission:
Safety, Quality, Production. Check construction activities on assigned projects to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications. Performs material sampling as required. Immediately inform the onsite construction foreman and QC Manager of any work that is noncompliant Ensures that all testing required by the specification in company policy is performed Ensures that tests are performed at the frequency stated in the specifications or company policy Obtain required certifications in timely manner Tracks and reports construction material quantities Completes construction diary and takes photos to document job Informs the onsite construction foreman and QC Manager of deficiencies so that corrections can be made and retesting performed prior to any substandard work with additional material Assist in ensuring construction sites are ready for construction and are staked out according to plans and specifications Ensure that field foreman is given proper grades for the area under construction Work safely, wear applicable PPE and notify supervisor of any potentially unsafe situations Maintain a neat and orderly work area Remain productive for the entire workday Maintain personal appearance in accordance with company policy Show a willingness to learn job site goals and company-wide goals Perform any other special projects as needed
Requirements:
Some college preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in roadway Quality Control or Construction is required. Excellent math skills (basic algebra, geometry, percentages, weights and general math) SCDOT Quality Control Certifications preferred Strong communication skills Basic computer literacy Self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others Organized, accurate and thorough with attention to detail Ability to listen and follow instructions as given Demonstrate cooperative mannerisms to fellow-workers, foeman, and customers Consistent arrives for work at the scheduled time Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior ot employment
