Mount Juliet, TN Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $60,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications OSHA High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Quality assurance Cleaning Quality audits Manufacturing Full Job Description Responsibilities Random inspection of product throughout manufacturing process including floor inspection verification audits, final product dock audits and manufacturing process audits. Visual confirmation that product is correctly documented prior to moving parts into inventory. Point out non-conformities in process, operator, gauge, or other areas of production. Document and report findings to shift Supervisor and Quality Engineer. Maintain organization of product gauges and gauge calibration systems. Assist Quality Engineers with creating and maintaining gauge Instructions. Assist in locating gauges required by production. Audits gauge location periodically as needed. Clean, lubricate and inspect gauges for damage. Check and record gauge calibration as required. Review QRS (Part Specific Control Plan) with production operators and make necessary changes with approval of Quality Engineer. Make changes to gauge visual aids with Quality Engineer assistance. Assist Quality Engineer with changes to gauges and QRS (Part Specific Control Plan) to conform with engineering changes. Perform weld analysis via Cut & Etch Inspection Process. Train and assist production operators in proper use of gauges and instructions. Perform quality checks with standard gauges as indicated by procedures. Monitor and assist with SPC activities on production floor. Processing daily inspection reports. Support production with rework requirements for non-conforming product as directed by the Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager. Auditing of manufacturing processes; including operator documentation. In the absence of the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager, has the authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct quality problems. Has the authority to place on "HOLD" any product suspected of poor quality. Other duties may be assigned. Support metrology lab for capability and gauge R & R studies. Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing and data collection as needed. Skills High school education or equivalent. Previous inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and use of mechanical measuring devices, as appropriate. Knowledge of basic SPC requirements. Visual inspection requirements. Dimensional inspection requirements and interpretation. Functional inspection requirements and interpretation. Process analysis and improvement. Introduction to current automotive standard, system implementation, and auditing. Continuous improvement development, implementation, and analysis. Use of mechanical and electrical measuring devices. Safety training and OSHA requirements. Material review board and rework

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
