• Job Title: Lead Quality Inspector
• Job Description
• The Lead Quality Inspector performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections of products to verify conformance with established standards and specifications. In this role, you ensure that all products meet quality requirements by accurately using inspection tools, applying quality science principles, and supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing process.
• Responsibilities
• + Conduct thorough visual and measured inspections of products to ensure they meet all quality standards and customer requirements.

+ Proficiently utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments, to verify product dimensions and tolerances.

+ Independently apply quality science principles and quality assurance methods to evaluate product conformity and identify defects or nonconformities.

+ Perform quality control checks on welds, including visual inspection and measurement, to confirm weld quality and adherence to specifications.

+ Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine inspection criteria and measurement requirements.

+ Carry out quality inspections on manufacturing and assembly line production within an industrial environment, ensuring consistent adherence to quality standards.

+ Document inspection results clearly and accurately and communicate findings to appropriate team members for corrective actions when needed.

+ Follow all safety rules, procedures, and best practices while working in a heavy industrial, steel fabrication environment.

+ Participate in safety committees or safety-related initiatives as needed to support a strong safety culture.

+ Perform other related duties as assigned to support production, quality assurance, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Essential Skills
• + Minimum of 2 years of experience using inspection tools and measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.

+ Minimum of 35 years of welding experience, with prior quality inspection experience on welds.

+ Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

+ At least 12 months of industrial manufacturing experience, specifically in manufacturing assembly line inspection.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for inspection purposes.

+ Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail for identifying defects and nonconformities.

+ Demonstrated ability to perform accurate measurements and quality checks using precision tools.

+ Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes in a heavy industrial setting.

+ Commitment to following safety rules and practices in a steel fabrication facility.

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• + Experience working in heavy industrial or steel fabrication environments.

+ Familiarity with open-air facilities and willingness to work in varying temperature conditions.

+ Ability to work independently and make sound judgments based on quality standards and inspection results.

+ Strong communication skills to document findings and collaborate with production and quality teams.

+ Participation in safety committees or initiatives and interest in promoting workplace safety.

+ Dependable work ethic and flexibility to perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

• Work Environment
• This position is based in a heavy industrial, steel fabrication facility with an open-air building and no climate control.

Temperatures can be hot in the summer and colder in the winter months, and you should be comfortable working in these conditions. The role involves working around manufacturing and production equipment in an industrial setting. Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times, including steel toe boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plug

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $28.

00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
