Job Description
NOTE:
Starting Pay based on experience/incoming skillset and is negotiable. Applicants with high level of familiarity on machine shop inspection/aerospace parts preferred- www.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct CMM inspections of miscellaneous parts, gages, and tooling as required.
- Operate various pieces of electronic/ mechanical / optical inspection equipment as required.
- Ability to use common inspection measurement tools, such as Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauge Blocks and Bore scopes
- Good organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Work from drawings/blueprints, specifications and instructions.
- Apply math and blueprint reading skills as required to perform day-to-day assignments.
- Layout inspection of prototype and production components using precision instruments.
- Measure dimensions such as angles, arcs, and radii, using combination of aids, such as: surface plate, parallel bars, angle plates, gageblocks, plug pins, v-blocks, etc.
- Must be able to interact with and assist Manufacturing and Engineering personnel in regards to part conformance and process capability.
- MRB activities.
- In-process and final quality acceptance prior to shipment to the customer using visual, measurements, and document review methods.
- Write Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to investigate cause and corrective action for defects as part of a team.
- Complete and maintain quality documents and files including inspections, FAI, rework, and product certifications per the Quality System.
- Other tasks as directed by the Quality Manager Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Zeiss Calypso Software (Prismo & Contura CMM) (Applicants with CMM/Zeiss Familiarity preferred)
- Experience with Faro Arms, profilometers, hardness testers
- Familiarity with machining (lathes, mills, grinders, wire EDM)
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (Magnetic Particle Inspection, Nital/Temper Etch)
- Familiarity with Gear Grinding, hobbing, cutting
