M-Friday Job Summary:
LG Resources is hiring a QC Inspector for a structural steel fabrication company. Responsible for inspecting steel fabrication and welding to ensure work meets drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections of structural steel Inspect dimensions, fit-up, welds, holes, orientation, and workmanship Read and interpret shop/fabrication drawings Verify weld size, length, location, and quality Use measuring and inspection tools Identify, document, and communicate quality issues Reinspect corrected work and maintain inspection records Help reduce rework and ensure quality requirements are met
Qualifications:
Structural steel, welding, or QC experience preferred Ability to read shop/fabrication drawings Knowledge of welding and weld inspection Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to accurately use measuring/inspection tools Good communication and basic computer skills AWS CWI certification preferred, not required
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach as needed Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work safely around steel, welding, cranes, forklifts, and fabrication equipment Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures Wear required PPE #
