Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Plastics Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all plastic components and products meet customer quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of quality systems will help maintain the integrity of our products and uphold our commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. Duties Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of plastic parts using measurement tools such as height gauges, go/no-go gauges, pin gauges, and calipers. Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems is a plus. Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical specifications to identify critical dimensions, geometric tolerances, and inspection points to verify product conformity. Execute quality audits across production lines, identifying deviations from accepted quality standards. Record data accurately during inspections, compile inspection reports, and analyze results to identify trends or recurring issues. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality concerns promptly, providing feedback for process improvements. Maintain calibration schedules for measuring instruments and ensure all inspection equipment is functioning correctly. Experience Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or related industries. Strong understanding of quality standards including
ISO 9001, ISO 13485
(medical devices) is a plus. Hands-on experience with calibration and use of measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with data collection methods, and conducting internal or external quality audits. Basic math skills for precise measurements and analysis; proficiency in GD&T principles is a plus. Ability to analyze inspection data critically and communicate findings effectively to cross-functional teams. $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
