CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for Quality Technician (Inspector) located in Dulles, VA. The Quality Inspector will support production and supply chain by performing critical inspections during the production process and supporting incoming inspections.Responsibilities:
Inspect custom fabricated mechanical parts and electrical assemblies (PCBAs and cables) using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality Conduct first article inspections for new items, in-process, and final inspections in manufacturing and/or shipping as needed Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing results, and adding data into the quality management system database; Communicate inspection results and offer continual improvement suggestions Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications Ensure the integrity of the end-item-data-package (EIDP) for all delivered space-flight terminals Identify and implement process improvements, (ex: mistake-proofing) to improve overall throughput Confirm that assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures, complying with legal requirements. Review production work instructions to ensure correctness and completenessQualifications:
Required:
7+ years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mech inspection for an electronics manufacturer; Previous experience with box and cable builds. Previous experience at incoming inspection is required. Experience inspecting mechanical, and electrical (PCBAs, cables, etc..) items. Able to use standard measurement and inspection tools including pin gauges, calipers, visual inspection system, microscope, etc. IPC Certification a plus - J-STD 001, or IPC-610, or IPC-620 Knowledge of ESD S20.20 and generally accepted good practice for ESD control Detail-focused. Careful. Independent. Proactive. Organized. Flexible within a dynamic environment. Able to multi-task and reprioritize as neededDesired:
Experience with aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries. Experience with lean mfg, 5S and root cause analysis.What You Can Expect:
