QC Inspector B Dover Corp United States, Virginia, Lynchburg Sep 18, 2026

General Function:

Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions

Primary Responsibilities:

It is every BPM, Inc. Employee's responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvac's current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements

Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions. These functions include but may not be limited to:

Receipt Inspection to include staging of parts and materials

In Process Inspections

First piece

Final

Final Inspection

Assembly Inspection

Process Surveillances

Other duties as assigned Skills and Knowledge Required to

Perform Job:
Basic Inspection Skills:

Able to perform basic inspection using Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators and basic hand gauges

Basic Blueprint Reading

Basic Math skills

Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

Basic PC skills

Microsoft Windows

IFS & Receipt inspection databases

Performing inquiries on ERP systems

Perform and document process surveillance activities

Coordinate Measuring Machine Skills:

Load and run programs on Direct Computer Control (DCC)-CMM

Manual CMM operation knowledge a plus

Education:

High school graduate or

GED Experience:

2 years of experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment or machinist. Equivalent education may be acceptable in lieu of experience.

Ability to work all shifts and travel on a continuous seven-day work cycle if needed

A working knowledge of Mathematics, Geometry and Trigonometry

Basic CMM skills

Visual acuity to perform inspection, read gauging and perform visual inspections Physical Activities Required to

Perform Job:

Manual lifting may be required of items up to 35 pounds. (proper lifting techniques)

Extended periods of time standing.

Must be able to bend and kneel freely.
