Updated 09/08/2026 Job Description Job Summary STS Technical Services is hiring a Quality Control Technician in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity supporting Trace-A-Matic, a precision manufacturing company focused on complex precision-machined components and high-quality customer service. This role is ideal for a detail-driven quality professional with manufacturing inspection experience, strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to verify conformance to drawings, specifications and customer requirements. Position Overview The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting products, materials and processes to ensure they meet company, customer and regulatory quality standards. This role performs testing, measurements, documentation and analysis to identify defects, verify compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives. The main function of the Quality Control Technician is to verify conformance to drawings and specifications while supporting production, engineering and management teams in resolving quality issues. Brookfield, Wisconsin Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products and finished goods according to established quality standards Conduct dimensional, visual and functional testing using measuring and testing equipment Record inspection and test results accurately in quality management systems and reports Identify, document and communicate non-conforming products or processes Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action activities Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures Assist in maintaining calibration records Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained Review production documentation for completeness and accuracy Support internal and external audits as required Collaborate with production, engineering and management teams to resolve quality issues Follow all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures Skills and Competencies Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions Knowledge of quality inspection methods and measurement techniques Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and measuring instruments Strong attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Experience with quality management software Effective written and verbal communication skills Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required Equivalent technical degrees may be considered 2 or more years of quality experience required Manufacturing or related field experience is a plus Epicor experience is a plus 1factory experience is a plus No licenses or certificates required Authorization Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
