Job Description

CMM Operator/Quality Department RAM Tool, Inc. is an industry leader that specializes in custom machining and building of aluminum & zinc die cast dies. We have a state of the art 80,000 square foot facility that is clean, safe, climate controlled , and the air is purified with Heat Steam units throughout the facility. We offer a sign-on bonus of $1500 . Overtime is ample, but it is optional - not mandatory. 2nd Shift offers a 15% shift premium! Summary The CMM Technician is responsible for the measuring of all products to the customer specifications. They are also responsible for the calibration of all tooling. Fixtures and measuring devices. This position is critical to the Die cast mold development, tool steel, aerospace parts, & custom machining parts. Work with Managers, engineers, and supervisors to plan and execute the most cost-effective method for producing quality parts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Use CMM/Roamer Arm to inspect finished product Collect and analyzes data on company processes, products, and arranges the data in reports Investigates and diagnoses quality complaints or defective product, tracks down components and recommends corrective actions to improve performance Maintain and organize our internal gauge database Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work area Complete time travelers, time slips, required inspections, and appropriate paperwork Performs other duties as assigned Education and/or Experience Journeyman Tool & Die Certificate, Technical Degree preferred OR 5+ years of demonstrated experience or equivalent in the CMM Inspection field Previous experience working with Aerospace pieces a plus. Qualifications & Skills Extensive ability to read and interpret blueprints & mechanical drawings Proficient knowledge of GD & T, extensive knowledge preferred Extensive ability to operate CMM machining equipment Extensive experience utilizing PC-DMIS software to program and run machines experience a big plus! Extensive ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Extensive ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills Extensive ability to organize and manage priorities, meet deadlines, and expectations Extensive ability to measure/inspect lengths, diameters, straightness, or flatness Self-confident with strong qualitative, analytical, and mathematical skills Ability to operate a forklift with training Pre-employment drug/alcohol/physical required
