Owens Industries is looking for a hands-on Data Entry / Quality Documentation Coordinator to help keep our shop floor and quality team running smoothly. In this role, you'll log inspection results, keep quality paperwork organized, and enter dimensional data into Excel for our aerospace and defense parts.
First shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00 am -3:30 pm. You need solid Excel and Word skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to keep up in a fast-paced machine shop. Being able to read blueprints and knowing your way around AS9100 paperwork is a huge plus. Quality Documentation & Reporting Build in-process and final inspection reports for our AS9100 quality system. Put together customer inspection packets and organize quality records. Double-check all paperwork for accuracy before it goes out the door. Help the quality team keep document files updated and properly archived. Data Entry & Inspection Support Enter part dimensions from CMM printouts and hand tools into Excel and quality forms. Review inspection numbers for errors before signing off. Maintain clean, easy-to-find digital and paper inspection logs. Pitch in with general shop admin and quality department tasking as needed. Excel & Administrative Responsibilities Use Excel daily to format reports, track part data, and organize logs. Create and update Word docs, shop forms, and inspection templates. Keep reporting formats consistent across all jobs. Help log quality metrics and shop performance stats. Collaboration & Communication Work directly with machinists, inspectors, and programmers to get the job information you need. Follow up on missing or unclear dimensional data right away. Handle proprietary customer prints and shop documentation responsibly. Required Qualifications Solid skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Sharp eye for numbers and details. Ability to input large amounts of inspection data accurately and quickly. Clear communication and good time management. Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience in a machine shop or quality department. Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO quality standards. Ability to read prints and understand basic part dimensions. Experience reading CMM reports or shop inspection sheets. Background in aerospace or defense manufacturing is a plus.
