Position Summary The Quality Assurance Technician (2nd Shift) serves as the final authority on quality on our afternoon/evening team. This role conducts incoming inspections of raw materials and parts, performs in-process checks, and verifies final product conformity using precision measurement equipment to ensure all machined components meet exact customer specifications prior to shipment. AM Shift Premium:

5% shift differential added to base rate for all hours worked Key Responsibilities Perform receiving, first piece (setup verification), in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, scales, and CMMs. Interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to evaluate dimensional accuracy. Proactively identify, report, and help resolve product defects on 2nd shift to minimize waste and prevent non-conforming parts from leaving the shop floor. Generate data collection spreadsheets and compile, audit, and reconcile final inspection documentation for outgoing shipments. Interact with source inspectors, internal shop-floor teams, and vendor representatives as needed to resolve quality inquiries and maintain high standards. Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of experience in CNC manufacturing or quality control roles preferred. Experience with manual and automated inspection equipment ( CMM experience highly desired ); solid understanding of CNC machining processes, materials, and tooling. High attention to detail, strong judgment, and a strict commitment to dimensional accuracy. Ability to track data accurately, set up complex technical instruments, and utilize data collection spreadsheets effectively. Strong written and oral communication skills with a team-first, customer-oriented mindset. High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or quality certifications preferred.
