Duties Operate industrial sewing machines such as serging, embroidery, and garment sewing equipment to produce finished goods efficiently and accurately Measure fabric and materials using precision measuring instruments to ensure proper dimensions and fit according to specifications Cut fabric manually with precision tools for garment construction or upholstery projects, maintaining safety standards throughout the process Construct seams and perform seam construction techniques that meet established quality standards in production Handle materials carefully during manufacturing processes, including fabric materials, upholstery components, and other textiles Conduct dimensional measurements regularly to verify product consistency and adherence to design specifications Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following safety standards in production, including proper machine operation procedures and materials handling protocols Skills Proficiency in operating various sewing machines such as industrial sewing machines, sergers, and embroidery equipment Strong understanding of seam construction techniques and garment sewing processes Ability to use measuring instruments accurately for dimensional measurements and quality control purposes Knowledge of fabric materials, upholstery fabrics, and their specific handling requirements Experience with manual cutting techniques for fabric cutting tasks in manufacturing settings Familiarity with quality standards in production to ensure finished products meet specifications Commitment to safety standards in production environments, including proper machine operation and materials handling practices Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with inventory management and logistics related to manufacturing supplies Embark on a fulfilling career where your craftsmanship makes a tangible difference!
