$17.00 / hourJob Description Sewer Schedule:
4:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday to Friday - OT may be requiredEssential Functions Machines:
- Prepare and maintain sewing machines by changing needles and thread, oiling, replacing bobbins, and securing attachments.
- Operate industrial sewing machines to join materials such as polyester, cotton, and lyocell.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Must demonstrate full understanding of Operator and Machinist responsibilities, including machine setup, monitoring, and minor repairs.
Process:
- Follow established production procedures and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest ideas for efficiency.
Materials:
- Guide materials under the machine needle to ensure proper stitching.
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure product quality meets specifications.
- Escalate concerns related to material or product quality.
Quality:
- Take ownership of product quality throughout the sewing process.
- Meet or exceed monthly productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company standards. Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial sewing environment.
- Must have prior knowledge and experience in Production Associate 1 and 2 duties.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more without assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions consistently and work independently.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, or stand for extended periods.
- Proficient in reading and speaking English.
- Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing products, equipment, and processes.
