No matter what stage of your career, you can build your future at Tempur Sealy! General Job Description The operator takes a quilted panel off a stack and places it on a waist-high table. The operator guides the panel through a sewing machine, which sews the flange onto the panel. The operator then offloads the finished panels on a flat rolling skid/cart.

Physical Job Duties NOTE:

Based on an 8-hour workday

  • "Occasional" = 1%
  • 33%, "Frequent" = 33% to 66%, "Continuous"= 66%
  • 100% Continuous standing while operating the sewing machine.

Frequent walking of short distances to retrieve materials and put finished unit into storage areas.

Frequent pushing and pulling of work piece while on the sewing table.

Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while aligning pieces of fabric and feeding them into the machine.

Frequent repetitive use of foot to activate the sewing machine.

Frequent gripping of fabric pieces and scissors.

Frequent need of eye/hand coordination to align edges, feed the machine, and adds paperwork.

Frequent lifting and moving of work in process (panels, finished caps) less than 10 pounds.
