Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled High Pressure Boiler Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of high-pressure steam boilers within our industrial facility. This role is essential in ensuring the reliable generation of steam for various manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in boiler mechanics, and experience with industrial equipment to support continuous operations and optimize system performance. Duties Operate high-pressure steam boilers, ensuring optimal performance and safety protocols are followed at all times. Monitor boiler gauges, control systems, and instrumentation to maintain proper pressure, temperature, and water levels. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers and associated mechanical systems to prevent failures. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical drawings, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Repair or replace boiler components such as valves, pumps, burners, and controls utilizing welding skills and mechanical repair expertise. Interpret technical schematics and building automation system data to diagnose operational problems accurately. Maintain detailed logs of boiler operation, maintenance activities, and safety checks for compliance purposes. Collaborate with maintenance teams to perform equipment upgrades or repairs efficiently while minimizing downtime. Ensure adherence to safety standards related to high-pressure steam systems, including lockout/tagout procedures. Assist in training new operators on boiler operation procedures and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience operating high-pressure steam boilers within an industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in boiler mechanics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial equipment repair. Proficiency in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and building automation systems related to boilers. Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC systems, welding techniques, and industrial maintenance practices. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using engineering principles and diagnostic tools. Familiarity with safety regulations governing high-pressure steam systems and environmental standards. Prior experience with industrial mechanic tasks such as equipment maintenance, repair, and field service operations. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with team members or external vendors. Valid certification or licensing as a Boiler Operator is preferred; relevant technical training is required.
