Job Description

Responsibilities - What you'll do This is senior level position that is responsible for the operation/maintenance/repair of a heating plant. The position repairs/maintains boilers and related equipment such as feed water pumps/circulating pumps/valves and regulators/steam and water lines Repairs/replaces steam and water lines, unions, regulators, strainers, steam traps, and related equipment Replaces seals and gaskets in a variety of power plant equipment Tests and monitors the water treatment system of boilers Maintains/repairs electrical and/or electronic components such as replacing parts in control panels, repairing broken wires and related work The position reads sketches and diagrams in performing maintenance and repair work. The position maintains/tests/operates diesel generators for emergency electric power production. The position makes minor adjustments/repairs to electrical generators, steam or water boilers, pumps, refrigeration systems, and related plumbing equipment; assists in major repair work of this equipment; fires boilers and operates related auxiliary equipment as necessary. Minimum Qualifications:
Two or more years of skilled experience relevant/similar to the listed job functions. All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed. Job Details - More reasons to love this position Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive: A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center). A $0.75 per hour medium security or $1.50 maximum security differential if you work full-time at a qualifying facility. A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing differential if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
