We are currently seeking a highly skilled Boiler Operator / Stationary Engineer to manage and maintain the heating systems crucial for our operations. This role demands precision, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a robust understanding of boiler systems within the military and defense sector. Responsibilities Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers and auxiliary boiler plant equipment, including pumps, compressors, and water treatment equipment. Monitor all boiler operations and react to varying load requirements. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on steam and hot water boilers and related equipment. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to boiler operations and safety. Record data concerning operations, maintenance activities, and issue reports to facility management. Conduct inspections and perform troubleshooting to prevent future malfunctions or unexpected shutdowns. Coordinate with other departments to implement system improvements and operational changes. Required Skills In-depth knowledge of boiler systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Proficiency in operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers and related machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
