•Greenville is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and reliable Sand Blasting Operator for a leading manufacturing facility for our customer in the Fountain Inn, SC area . In this vital production role, you will be responsible for preparing the surfaces of various industrial objects and components using high-pressure abrasive blasting equipment. We are looking for an individual with strong mechanical aptitude who can ensure all surfaces are flawlessly cleaned, textured, and properly prepared for further coating and finishing processes.
•Sand Blasting Operator Primary Responsibilities include: Your main responsibility is the safe, precise operation of surface preparation equipment , ensuring all components meet strict quality and texture specifications.
Equipment Operation:
Set up, operate, and monitor industrial sand blasting equipment, including blast cabinets, high-pressure hoses, and air compressors.
Process Adjustments:
Adjust machine settings and select the appropriate abrasive blasting media based on the specific material and project requirements.
Quality Monitoring:
Visually inspect finished components to ensure surface finishes meet exact texture, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting on blasting equipment to minimize production downtime.
Data Documentation:
Maintain accurate and neat production, tracking, and quality documentation for all completed runs.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all facility safety protocols, including the continuous and proper use of specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Sand Blasting Operator Requirements include:
Job Stability:
Proven track record of reliability, preferably spending a year or more in your most recent role.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience operating and maintaining abrasive blasting machinery or working in a closely related industrial surface-prep environment is highly preferred.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day) and comfortably bend, stoop, climb, and reach as required.
Lifting Capability:
Physically capable of consistently lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.
Technical Aptitude:
Strong mechanical aptitude, logical problem-solving skills, and a sharp attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Environmental Comfort:
Must be comfortable working in a loud heavy-manufacturing environment with varying seasonal temperatures.
