MGH-Die Setter A
Job Description
The Die Setter will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL . High School Diploma/GED. Must be able to add, subtract, divide & multiply fractions and decimals. Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs. Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs. Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs. Frequent strain due to position, unsupported lifting. Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift. Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull. Must have vision skills acceptable for a lift truck license and the motor skills/climbing ability to safety board/operate the equipment. Must be able to properly use tools and equipment to remove and set dies in presses, press brakes, and power presses. Must be able to correctly interpret specifications, sketches, and drawings to ensure dies are adjusted within appropriate tolerances for normal use. Will be responsible for making necessary checks on die equipment, attend to their proper care, and perform required repairs. Must be able to use new dies, set-up new tool designs using proper gauges, verniers, and/or other standard measuring equipment. Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Observe all departmental safety requirements. Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship. Work from written or verbal orders. Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers. May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles. Performs other duties as assigned.
