Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and machine shop equipment Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical issues to determine corrective actions Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble dies and tooling components Operate manual machines including mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Design and fabricate new tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures as needed Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments to ensure acceptable tolerances Assist with die setups, adjustments, and changeovers Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and scrap Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve tooling issues Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout requirements
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of tool and die maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong hands on knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience in stamping, machining, or aerospace manufacturing is a strong plus CNC machining and CAD familiarity preferred Welding and fabrication skills are a bonus
Physical Requirements:
