This is a per diem position. Because of the nature of recruitment in clinical trials, there may beLONG PERIODS BETWEEN SHIFTS
. The PSG Technologist works independently and with other PSG Technologists on overnight shifts, and on day-time shifts as needed for clinical trials in Los Alamitos and Glendale, CA. This position requires the PSG Tech to perform subject hook-ups, collect artifact-free data, report any adverse events and always keep subject safety as the highest priority. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The PSG Tech shall be responsible for:- Working directly and in concert with the clinical trial site staff to ensure all procedure time-points are met within allowable window
- Perform hook-ups in a timely manner on up to 2 subjects per night
- Perform machine and bio-calibrations prior to lights out
- Troubleshoot data quality issues prior to and after lights out
- Monitor subject(s), documenting every 30 minutes
- Awaken subject(s) at designated lights on time and unhook subject(s)
- Transfer/upload collected data in manner as outlined by
Q-Metrx Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in subject hook-up and monitoring
- Must be able to respond appropriately and calmly in emergency situations
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently in real time
- Must be proficient in Windows environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills; written and oral Education and Experience
- Must be RPSGT and/or RST or registry-eligible
- Must have current BLS certification
- Clinical trial experience preferred, but not necessary
- Experience with CleveMed & Compumedics preferred but not necessary
