Certified Post Operative Hand Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hand Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions when they have a medical diagnosis and a plan from the provider. Post operative treatment is also a large part of this position. In addition, the ability to make custom Orthosis is necessary. A bonus is Tuition Credit is available to help pay student loans. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans for various Upper Extremity diagnosis.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities in daily activities.
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Adapt therapy techniques based on patient response and feedback, ensuring a person-centered approach.
  • Make a custom Orthosis when required. Skills . Excellent patient care skills according to research and practice by experienced Orthopedic Therapists with a focus on empathy and support.
  • Knowledge of the anatomy of the hand and ability to move patients in a positive direction regarding their ability to use their hand and pain relief.
Ability to custom-make an Orthosis when required. Qualifications Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology Proven patient care skills with a focus on rehabilitation Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation Experience in developing and implementing care plans Fabrication of custom orthosis is a requirement Knowledge of Spanish is ideal but not required

$50.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
