• ExcellenceAs a Tool Designer you will:

Perform design and tooling manufacturing activities within the tool design department and maintain tooling design conformity that meets or exceeds customer requirement. Perform design activity on assembly and shop tooling to be produced using conventional machining techniques as well as rapid prototyping. Supports the department and business as a whole with shop floor, planning, quality, and MRB activities.

What will my responsibilities include?

Design assembly and shop toolingCreate 2D CAD drawings and layoutsSupport shop floor technical inquiries (Drawing and spec interpretations)Contribute to design improvementsContribute to cost reduction effortsSupport 5S + Safety requirements for departmentEnsure maintenance on all equipment is completed as requiredOther reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictateUsing required PPE for the department

QualificationsEducation:

Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent on the job training

Experience:

5 years tool design in a manufacturing environment using 2D and 3D modeling softwareExperience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:

Rapid prototyping, CMM, hand inspection toolsMust be able to communicate and interact with employees at all levels of the organization both verbally and written. Must be fluent in EnglishBasic arithmetic, basic algebra and trigonometry CAD software, MS Word, MS ExcelRequires high ability to assess facts and develop conclusionSolidworks or other equivalent CAD software preferredOther Knowledge, Skills and/or
