Tool Room Assistant

Job Description

Temp to
Hire Position Purpose:
Tool Room Assistant execute modifications, engineering changes, or repair of molds within specified time schedules. This position directly reports to Tool Room Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Cleaning and performing preventative maintenance on molds before and after production. Hands on machining with conventional machine (mill, laths, or drill) Basic knowledge of CNC programing and setup. Tagging and placing molds in assigned locations/ assigning molds new locations. Assisting tool room manager in mold change overs according to configurations on work orders. Maintaining/assigning fixture locations. Logging in incoming molds and assigning them a mold number according to our mold log. Analyze and remove sources of errors and disturbances. Maintain and work in the OSHA. Assisting production floor with special manufacturing projects Perform any other assignments given by Tool Room Supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of an injection molding plant.
  • Basic knowledge of tooling parts and supplies.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience repairing injection molding machinery and associated auxiliary equipment.
  • Possess a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills and basic understanding of the English language.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit, stand, and walk for long period of time.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to talk, Listen, and speak clearly.
Training Provided:
  • Safety Trainings.
  • IQMS (if needed).
  • Trained on preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Trained on the proper use of company tools and their storage.
  • Trained on how to drive the forklift (Forklift Certified).
  • Trained on Lockout Tagout Procedure.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
