SUMMARY A
Tool Crib Lead is responsible for the inventory coming in and out of the tool crib. The qualified candidate must have a basic understanding of machining and tooling and willingness to learn and light on feet. Great organization skills, meticulous and a quick learner would be preferred.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up tools and fixtures for jobs scheduled for the vertical and horizontal milling machines. Break down jobs and organize tooling and fixtures. Optimizes inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools, consumables, and other tools. Inspects and maintains tools for wear, damage, and safety concerns. Tracks inventory for min max levels and ensuring against shortages that may disrupt production. Presets tools for CNC machines accurately and without error per set up documentation. Familiar with machine shop protocol and environment and the sense of urgency required. Familiar with machine shop measuring tools (micrometers, height gages, tool pre-setters). Delivers the highest internal customer service to the machine shop. Purchase orders, tool purchase, order safety equipment. Purchase tooling and supplies for the Machine shop and company. Work closely with machinists and engineers.Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent Two years of experience either in a production or job shop environment. Read and interpret work order instructions. Must have a working knowledge of computers. Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environmentWORKING CONDITIONS
