Job Description Position Summary:
Heading machine operators demonstrate expert troubleshooting, full area cross training abilities as well as demonstrate knowledge of progressive header & threadroll tooling configurations and functions. Operators will demonstrate product knowledge including design, performance, and critical dimensions. They will also be involved in the development and design of new or improved processes and tools focusing on cost saving.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction. Adhere to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
Use measuring instruments:
calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, go/no go gages Correctly interpret work orders and read blueprints. Lift up to 35lbs Assist in the development of new hires & machine setups of Nakishimadas, Sakamuras, and Nationals.
Thread/Form Roll Machines:
EW Menn and Waterbury Operate the following die packages. 1 die, 2 punches 2 die, 4 punches 3 die - 6 die Understand and follow the 3-pan rule. Prekit/Kit work orders for Heading Order tooling Submit maintenance work orders and follow up with tool rework. Work with management to prioritize work orders Run heading and/or threadroll machines when needed. Conduct random quality dimensional checks when needed. Work alongside engineering for research and development of tooling and processes. Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Skills:
The ability to read and write English. Print reading & inspection processes. Familiarity of header tooling & equipment (Progressive & Non-Progressive) Knowledge of wire material & coatings & product (Design & Performance) Troubleshooting abilities. Timeliness and dedication to the job. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $44.00 to $47.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
