You will leverage your technical expertise in G&M coding and complex tooling to ensure production efficiency and maintain the highest standards of precision for our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Configure and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis vertical milling machines to achieve precise component specifications. Execute complex setups and perform on-control programming to optimize machining cycles. Conduct rigorous first-article and in-process inspections to ensure all parts meet strict quality tolerances. Collaborate with shop leadership to troubleshoot operational challenges and refine setup parameters. Mentor junior team members on machining best practices and provide constructive performance feedback. Maintain accurate production documentation within shop floor management systems to ensure data integrity. Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and equipment cleanliness to foster an efficient manufacturing environment. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC vertical machine setup and operation for precision parts. Demonstrated proficiency in G&M code and Fanuc or Mazak control systems. Expertise in utilizing precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Strong ability to interpret complex blueprints and apply shop math to real-world scenarios. Preferred Skills Formal machining certification or technical degree (e.g., MIMS). Direct experience with 3D mold machining and complex 2D/3D tooling. Background in manual machining techniques. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
