Position Summary The Toolmaker position, is able to operate the necessary tool room equipment for the purpose of making or reworking dies and tooling for headers or secondary equipment, with no Supervision. This is a 1st Shift position. Duties and Responsibilities Ability to operate all tool room equipment with no supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements. Ability to read all manufacturing and tooling prints and select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances. Utilizes all tool room gaging equipment. Maintains safe and clean work area. Performs preventative maintenance when required. Assists with training less experienced toolmakers. Education, Skills & Abilities Required 3-5 years tool making experience, preferably in a metal manufacturing environment. Strong math skills. Strong troubleshooting skills. HSD/GED or relevant experience.
