Tool & Die Maker Compensation & Benefits:

Tool & Die Maker Required Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience using manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation skills Experience with precision measuring equipment Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Tool & Die apprenticeship or formal technical training Technical degree or certification in Tool & Die CNC programming and machining experience Wire EDM and sinker EDM experience Experience building custom tooling, fixtures, molds, or dies

Tool & Die Maker Job Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models Build, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, molds, fixtures, jigs, and gauges Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision machining equipment Assemble, fit, and adjust tooling components to exact specifications Test completed tooling to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance Modify existing tooling to improve functionality or support engineering changes Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform repairs as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area This isn't a high-volume production environment.
