Tool Room Technician - Fort Wayne At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Tool Room Technician to work with a leading automotive manufacturer in Fort Wayne. This role is ideal for experienced CNC machinists looking to support high-precision tooling operations and maintain production quality standards. Shift Patterns Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM Pay Rates 24.00 - 29.00 USD hourly Essential Requirements for Tool Room Technician 1-3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Experience editing CNC programs and understanding G & M codes Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and precision measuring tools Ability to independently troubleshoot tooling issues and perform tool changes High School Diploma or GED Desirable Requirements for Tool Room Technician Journeyman's Card or equivalent machining/tool & die certification Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices Experience with CMM inspection equipment and machining forge press tooling Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team Role Responsibilities for Tool Room Technician Set up and operate CNC turning centers and milling machines Operate manual lathes and surface grinders to manufacture and repair tooling Inspect finished components to verify quality standards Maintain tooling inventories and accurate documentation of repairs Troubleshoot machining issues using root cause analysis Benefits for Tool Room Technician Weekly pay Competitive compensation Long-term career opportunity Dedicated recruiter support throughout the hiring process
