Come prepared to discuss and verify the skills and experience listed on your resume. Role focus Drive continuous improvement and upgrades to progressive stamping dies. Use stamping gauges to analyze parts; execute precise die adjustments. Read and apply CMM layout data to guide corrections. Perform bench PM; identify damage and excessive wear. Sharpen details; shim to achieve correct timing, shear, and stagger. Validate and adjust die sensors for consistent performance. Set nitrogen cylinders; tune pad and manifold pressures. Find and fix sources of scrap marks. Troubleshoot and correct issues with dies in the press. Make new die components (sections, punches) when needed. Repair cracked or welded die details. Operate mills, surface grinders, lathes, and profilers. Track time accurately in the PM database. Work style and expectations Maintain an organized workstation and surrounding area. Follow all quality/work instructions; use micrometers, calipers, and process gauges; document clearly and legibly. Adhere to safety practices at all times, including proper use of safety blocks. Collaborate with a team; support decisions; train and mentor operators. Qualifications 2+ years of die repair experience (required). Journeyman License (preferred). Demonstrated ability in mechanical systems and component repair. Proven tool/die/mold repair capability. Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance
