This position ensures tooling is available to support production, minimizes downtime, and works closely with production personnel to maintain safe, efficient stamping operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage daily tool room operations and prioritize tooling repairs. Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain progressive and line dies. Respond to production downtime and perform emergency tooling repairs. Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance for all dies. Support die changeovers and production startups. Operate manual machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses. Read and interpret blueprints, tooling drawings, and specifications. Train, coach, and support Tool & Die personnel. Work closely with production supervisors to resolve tooling and production issues. Recommend tooling improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime. Maintain tooling inventory and repair records. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Journeyman Tool & Die certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years of Tool & Die experience in a metal stamping environment. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of progressive and line dies, die maintenance, and troubleshooting. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Tool & Die repair and maintenance. Mechanical troubleshooting. Blueprint reading and precision measurement. Leadership and employee development.
