We are seeking an experienced EDM Operator to join our Tool & Die and Precision Manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM equipment to manufacture precision tooling, molds, dies, fixtures, and complex machined components. The ideal candidate will possess strong blueprint reading skills, understand precision machining practices, and be capable of producing high-tolerance components while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Load and secure workpieces using proper workholding methods. Install electrodes, wire, fixtures, and tooling. Verify machine setup prior to production. Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements are achieved. Perform machine adjustments as necessary throughout production. Precision Machining Manufacture precision tooling, mold components, die components, fixtures, electrodes, and production parts. Hold close tolerances while maintaining excellent surface finishes. Produce components from engineering drawings and CAD models. Utilize proper flushing techniques and cutting strategies to optimize machine performance. Perform skim cuts and finishing operations as required. Inspection & Quality Read and interpret: Blueprints Engineering drawings GD&T Process documentation Inspect finished components using: Micrometers Calipers Indicators Height gauges Optical comparators Other precision measuring equipment Ensure all components meet customer specifications and quality standards. Document inspection results and production information. Production Support Work closely with CNC Programmers, Toolmakers, Engineers, and Quality personnel. Assist in troubleshooting machining issues. Perform preventative maintenance and routine machine care. Maintain tooling, consumables, filters, wire, and dielectric fluid systems. Support prototype builds and production schedules.
