Job Description

About the Role As a Precision Tooling Specialist, you will play a critical role in transforming complex engineering designs into high-performance manufacturing solutions. You will leverage your expertise in manual machining and metrology to ensure every component meets rigorous quality standards, directly impacting the efficiency and accuracy of our production processes. Responsibilities Construct and assemble intricate jigs, fixtures, and specialized tooling based on detailed technical prints and quality specifications. Analyze 3D CAD models and blueprints to determine optimal machining strategies and verify critical dimensions. Utilize manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, and precision grinders to fabricate, fit, and finish components to exact tolerances. Perform comprehensive inspections using hand metrology tools to guarantee the functional integrity of completed assemblies. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot assembly challenges and optimize tooling performance. Maintain a high standard of shop organization and safety, ensuring all equipment is operated according to best practices. Required Skills 3-5 years of hands-on experience in precision jig and fixture fabrication. Advanced proficiency in reading blueprints and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong capability in utilizing precision measurement instruments and hand metrology. Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to team-based problem-solving. U.S. citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status. Preferred Skills Extensive experience with manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders. Strong background in interpreting complex 3D CAD models for manufacturing. Advanced shop math skills and a meticulous approach to quality control.
