Ready to develop a rewarding career in precision manufacturing? We are actively seeking a motivated die maker trainee to join a family-owned company Saint Paul. This hands-on apprenticeship opportunity is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy building, troubleshooting, and working with precision equipment.
Location:
Saint Paul Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•5:30
PM Wage:
$19•$25/hr. Depending on experience Benefits of the die maker trainee: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Good benefits package Room for advancement and career growth Local and family owned company in business over 50 years Position could turn to outside sales if candidate is interested eventually Company promotes from within Duties of the die maker trainee: Assist in the construction and assembly of steel rule dies using manual and automated equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings Operate hand tools and stationary power equipment safely and effectively Learn CNC machine setup, operation, and basic programming concepts Perform measurements and inspections using calipers, scales, tape measures, and other precision tools Maintain accurate production records and job documentation Support quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Meet production goals and participate in ongoing skill development programs Requirements of the die maker trainee: High School Diploma or GED required Basic math skills in arithmetic and geometry Familiarity with blueprint reading, CNC machining, welding, fabrication, or trade school coursework is highly beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
